MISSION

To provide expert, specialized, independent, and ethical representation of the United States, under the direct civilian control of the Secretary of the Navy, in the investigation and prosecution of covered and related offenses under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

VISION

The Navy Office of Special Trial Counsel has the distinct privilege and significant responsibility of representing the United States in criminal proceedings involving Sailors and other service members in covered and related offense cases.  The OSTC will seek to achieve justice, and in doing so, provide an effective, efficient, respected, and trusted tool for maintaining good order and discipline in the Navy.  The OSTC will act with the utmost fairness, independence, and integrity in all endeavors.
