Donna Landry -- a longtime member of the Navy JAG community who currently serves as a claims examiner at the Medical Care Recovery Unit (MCRU) in Pensacola, Fla. -- recently was acknowledged for reaching her 35th anniversary of federal service. "Ms. Landry has been a valuable part of the MCRU family since coming to us from Navy Legal Service Office (NLSO) Central in 2014," said Adam Siegfried, who is the head of the Pensacola MCRU. "With 26 of her 35 years of federal service being performed in support of our organization's mission, Donna's JAG Corps roots run deep." "Ms. Landry has been a valuable part of the MCRU family since coming to us from Navy Legal Service Office (NLSO) Central in 2014," said Adam Siegfried, who is the head of the Pensacola MCRU. "With 26 of her 35 years of federal service being performed in support of our organization's mission, Donna's JAG Corps roots run deep."

Landry officially hit the 35-year mark on Aug. 15, 2018. Her milestone was celebrated in a recent local ceremony. "I am so blessed to have been afforded the opportunities that I have had these past 35 years," said Landry. "I've traveled from one awesome place to another with a military spouse. I've met many new life-long friends along the way and although mostly sticking with the budget field I have held several diverse positions. Life is good." Beginning in 1983 as an accounting technician at the Naval Air Station (NAS) Bermuda comptroller's office, Landry has had a diverse and exciting career in federal service. During her career, Landry has worked at the NAS Brunswick, Maine comptroller's office as a travel, training and accounting technician; Construction Battallion Center (CBC) Gulfport, Miss. as a payroll technician; NLSO Central Pensacola, Fla. as a budget technician; and Defense Service Office (DSO) Southeast Detachment Pensacola, Fla. as a budget and administrative assistant.
