If confirmed by the Senate, CAPT Wilson will be the first one-star admiral to serve as CNLSC. As previously announced, this new flag billet was approved by the Secretary of the Navy and allocated to the Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAG Corps) Community in August 2020. The Deputy Judge Advocate General will no longer be dual-hatted as CNLSC, and the newly appointed CNLSC will report directly to the Chief of Naval Operations.

CAPT Wilson earned his Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Delaware, his Juris Doctorate from Delaware Law School, and his Master of Laws in International and Comparative Law from The George Washington University School of Law. He received his Navy commission through the JAG Corps Student Program in 1992, and he is licensed to practice law in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
